MARCH 2003 — Even though the Sun cruises through the sensitive, ethereal sign of Pisces until the 20th, there’s a strong majority of planets in cool, eccentric Aquarius most of March. Although Aquarius energy adds a lot of humanitarian instinct and extroversion to the normally shy Piscean vibe, I’m afraid it might also account for some strange and fickle behavior. So, take care in love situations, as some folks may have trouble making up their minds for sure–and may break your heart in the meantime! For those of you involved in research or the helping professions, a lot will be bubbling under the surface. Keep a low profile, don’t share all you know just yet. Things will likely be more in the forefront-or ready to be known-as the Sun enters Aries on the 20th.

Things will likely be more in the forefront-or ready to be known-as the Sun enters Aries on the 20th.

The 4th-6th look to be particularly stimulating and active, with plenty of surprises in store. Sunday the 8th is a good day in which to re-stabilize yourself and your routines for the week to come. Watch overspending on March 9th–it will be a real temptation!

A major 7-year cycle comes to a close on the 9th as well, as Uranus, planet of awakening, invention, electrical energy, humanitarianism and friendship enters Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac. Early Pisceans, early Virgoans, and early Geminis and Sagittarians will feel this shift most strongly. The unexpected always comes as a result of Uranus’s movement. Certainly, Uranus in Pisces can stimulate compassion, and help us to blend sensitivity with the power of the intellect, ESP with inner knowing. Due to aspects to Pluto, “change” seems to be a theme for the next few days. Attempt to utilize your resources and take advantage of opportunity to better yourself.

Think outside the box on the 16th. Expect some obstacles and holdups on Monday the 17th. Leaving for your destination early will help to compensate. Generally, life is a bit jumpy and stressful for the three days prior to the 18th’s full moon in Virgo.

The Sun enters Aries, bringing the Vernal Equinox, on the 20th. Celebrate spring in some way-a prayer, a ritual, a special meal, burning lily of the valley incense, or a potted daffodil or fragrant hyacinth in your room.

You’ll have to think and move fast to keep up with the pace on the 25th. The 26th and 27th may favor meditation, imagination and creative dreaming. Cartoonists and fantasy writers should have a ball those days!

Horoscope for Each Sign (read your ascendant, too, if you know that).

    Aries (MAR 20 - APR 20):
With the Sun and Mercury in Pisces most of the month, a strong emphasis is placed on your 12th house of service and selflessness. Aspire to embody these traits, and you’ll make valuable use of your first 20 days of March. It’s also a good time for research, planning, vacationing, rest and meditation. You’ll work hard at sports, exercise or your profession. Friendships and odd but fun experiences are aplenty! The Sun moves into Aries on the 20th, followed by Venus on the 27th. You’ll feel more in your element, more energetic, and more attractive. It’s your time to be in the limelight! Romance is more dead ahead, more definite and to your liking. So enjoy yourself!

    Taurus (APR 21 - MAY 21):
A majority of planets in Aquarius this month are a double-edged sword for you, because they bring you more into the limelight where family or career are concerned, yet stress you in other ways. For instance, you may feel less committed to your employer or job, and may well instigate a job or career move. You may be feeling more experimental as regards your appearance, and that is great for a creature like you who tends to fall into ruts. Two planets in Pisces help you to roll with it, adapt and invent a new way. Remember, friends and groups are there to assist you if you’ll only ask. This Pisces energy also spurs you to contemplate long-term goals, set aside money for humanitarian purposes, and donate your time or money to your favorite charity or community project. With Jupiter retrograde in Leo, your schedule or home may get a bit out of control! Watch your driving and maintain upkeep on your vehicle. Don’t buy a new vehicle just yet if you can refrain.

    Gemini (MAY 22 - JUN 21):
The Sun and Mercury in Pisces illuminate your public image/career/family area in a great way! Career and family matters can progress as well as inspire you, and progress can take place in a flowing and natural manner. Remember, folks are watching you–concentrate on your communication skills and personal appearance. Several planets in your element, air, keep you on the mental/intellectual plane that you’re so fond of. Some of you are needing to re-think your financial/investment picture and craving psychological transformation, while others are planning trips and sports activities and craving spiritual illumination. After the Sun enters Aries on the 20th, friends and long-term planning become more of a focus.

    Cancer (JUN 22 - JUL 22):
It’s not a good time for risk-taking financially, so watch your spending and make investments carefully if at all. Two planets in Pisces increase your chances of travel, athletic activity and spiritual insight. Mars inhabits your opposite sign of Capricorn, and this can stimulate debate with others, or others can lead and inspire you. You’ll have to put lots of energy into exercise routines, work, housecleaning and relationships with others. Since Mars is an angry planet, avoid ticking off strangers or those you know to be volatile. Other planetary placements seem to emphasize your desire to know yourself better, to release that which you no longer need, to institute healthy habits, to improve self. Some of you are finishing up important personal goals, others are feeling called upon to serve others in some way.

    Leo (JUL 23 - AUG 22):
An abundance of planets in Aquarius, your opposite sign, ask you to harmonize with and understand others. Some folks are full of fun and ideas, mentally stimulating, spiritually uplifting, romantic and attractive. Others seem eccentric to a fault, noncommittal, uncentered, selfish and just plain distracting! The Sun and Mercury in Pisces ask you to delve a little deeper, forgive and release, seek self-improvement. Sometimes, when we improve ourselves, the faults and foibles of others are less distracting or annoying. Saturn asks you to commit to a long-term personal or group project, to show loyalty to friends and a sense of responsibility to the community. Mars in Capricorn can lend stamina and energy for work and exercise regimens.

    Virgo (AUG 23 - SEPT 22):
The Sun and Mercury in Pisces offer you opportunities to dialogue, brainstorm and recreate with others. If you are experiencing legal difficulties, problems in a close relationship, now is the time when communication will be more free and open–offering hope that differences can be resolved. Early March can be particularly powerful for this. A plethora of planets in Aquarius raises your intellectual capacity and inventiveness, but also adds a nervous quality that may require herbal treatment, dietary changes or exercise. Certainly, co-workers are memorable, either for their intelligence, compassion and generosity, or for their eccentricity, spaciness and selfishness. Either way, intend to learn from their model or mistakes. The 15th-17th may be difficult, even puzzling, as we approach the full moon in Virgo on the 18th. The light appears at the end of the tunnel that day! Life should open up a little, smooth out and make more sense. Aries vibes near month’s end assist you in following through on a self-improvement idea, investment opportunity and forgiving others.

    Libra (SEPT 23 - OCT 22):
The Sun and Mercury in Pisces stimulate your work and service area, asking a keener insight to work challenges and more compassion toward co-workers Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, so it might be natural to wind up a project, diet, or volunteer stint. Mars in Capricorn may stir up emotions related to the past or family, so seek positive and healthy modes of expression and investigation of these matters. Several planets in air signs suit your airy, intellectual and extroverted nature. Dating, film, dance, the arts and the water suit you right now. As the Sun and Mercury move into your opposite sign of Aries on the 20th and 27th, a time of balancing and harmonizing with others is signaled. A direct, open and honest approach should work the best.

    Scorpio (OCT 23 - NOV 22):
Several planets in Aquarius continue to pique your intellectual curiosity, wreak occasional havoc with your schedule or home life, and bring strange and unusual people/experiences your way! Keep your vehicle well maintained to avoid surprises on the road. Read or write something a little out of the norm for you. Offer to teach someone, or address a group. The Sun and Mercury in Pisces lend you comfort, ease, and stimulate you to seek meaningful recreational outlets. Music and the arts have special appeal now. When the Sun and Mercury enter powerful Aries on the 20th and 27th, your focus begins to shift toward work, diet and nutrition, work-out regimens and volunteerism. If any health challenge crops up or worsens, seek professional help quickly to avoid stress on the system.

    Sagittarius (NOV 22 - DEC 19):
Those of you born near the 22d of November may notice a powerful emotional shift, a desire to move, or a change in family dynamics. Be sensitive, utilize your intuition and have faith in life’s process. Mars in Capricorn lends physical stamina, but can also stimulate spending on antiques, gems/crystals or the family. Remember your budget! Several planets in Aquarius can bring fascinating folks into your sphere, but can also cause an ungrounded feeling and wreak havoc with your schedule. Watch your driving, don’t drive when “spaced out”, drunk or exhausted if at all possible. Keep your vehicle well maintained. The Sun’s movement into Aries on the 20th, followed by Venus on the 27th, contributes a fiery energy that is compatible with your fire nature. You’ll be less domestic and brooding, leaning toward an enthusiastic, recreation-seeking attitude. You may feel quite assertive romantically!

    Capricorn (DEC 20 - JAN 19):
The Sun and Mercury in Pisces lend a flow to your schedule and attitude. God knows you can use it, Mr. or Ms. Uptight! Some of you may take a cruise or hang out in a boat for awhile. Mars in your sign increases energy levels, but also heats up your temper. Several planets in Aquarius continue to make your finances feel like shifting sands. However, unusual occupations, writing, the film industry or healing can do well for you. Venus leaves your sign and enters your house of money sometime during March, bringing a needed beneficial energy to finances. You may invest in art or jewelry. As the Sun enters Aries on the 20th and Venus enters Aries on the 27th, your focus shifts a bit more inward, toward emotions and domesticity. Feather your nest, simplify, throw a small party or gathering.

    Aquarius (JAN 20 - FEB 19):
Some big news: your ruling planet, Uranus, moves out of your sign after a 7-year stint. It will move back into your sign in the fall for awhile, but enjoy this time a little freer of its energetic, exciting, yet sometimes unnerving influence. Other planets in Aquarius continue to emphasize your compassionate and humanitarian side, beckon you toward spiritual enlightenment, and ask you to seek healing. Venus in your sign this month can bring any number of benefits, a little bit of luck, an attractive aura and manner that people like. Pay special attention to a gracious manner and personal appearance, because folks will be noticing! Jupiter retrograde in your opposite sign, Leo, can hold up progress in relationships or work this month. Expansion can take place more naturally in April. Near month’s end, your schedule heats up. You’re on the go and in demand!

    Pisces (FEB 20 - MAR 19):
With the Sun and Mercury in your sign most of the month, know that you will shine, feel in your element, and excel in writing and communication. Your versatility and adaptability are emphasized. Venus can bring new friends or group affiliations. Jupiter retrograde in your house of work and health can continue to block expansion in those areas, but hold on – help is on the way in April! There’s a new moon in Pisces on the 4th, signaling a time of an “emotional new year” for you. Therefore, any desire to implement personal growth and change should work out really well. The 18th’s full moon in you opposite sign of Virgo can shake up relationships, but for a higher good, so that insight and transformation can take place for both of you. Accent communication. Big news for Pisceans is that Uranus, the planet of awakening, electricity, invention and the unusual has entered your sign for the first time in about 77 years. Those born around February 19th will certainly feel a shift, a difference in perspective perhaps. Sometimes goals change, or an unusual occurrence takes place.
